Peter Kassabov is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Fortress Information Security, a cybersecurity firm with a mission to secure critical infrastructure. Fortress is based in Orlando FL with locations in Columbus OH, Reston VA, and Boise ID. Fortress currently secures over 10% of the US power grid and critical assets.
Prior to founding
Fortress, Mr. Kassabov founded Digital Risk LLC, a mortgage risk analytics and compliance solutions provider to the U.S. mortgage market. Digital Risk has grown to more than 2,000 employees with offices in the U.S. and India. While at Digital Risk, Mr. Kassabov was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011. In 2013, Mr. Kassabov sold Digital Risk to Mphasis, a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard, for $202 million.
Prior to Digital Risk, Mr. Kassabov founded Connextions Health LLC, an integrated direct-to-consumer healthcare insurance sales and wellness services company that provided predictive modeling solutions to clients such as United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Net, and Cedars Sinai, among others. Connextions grew to 1,500 employees before being sold in 2006.
Prior to founding Connextions Health LLC, Mr. Kassabov founded a major BPO and systems integration firm called Connextions Inc. in 1999, which grew to over 1,000 employees and provided integrated CRM and supply-chain solutions to major clients such as Mercedes Benz, Olympus, Earthlink, Chase Manhattan, and Nextel, among others. Connextions Inc.’s success was widely recognized with numerous industry awards, including, “Inc. 500 Fast 50,” “CRM Implementation of the Year,” “Call Center of the Year,” and “100 Best Supply Chain Partners.”
Mr. Kassabov began his career at Logistix Corporation as a key member of the executive team that grew the company in seven years from a small outsourcing entity with fewer than 300 employees, to a global high-tech outsourcing business with $750 million in revenue, over 3,500 employees, and operations in 18 locations on five continents.
Mr. Kassabov is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and serves on the Board of YPO Healthcare and the Florida Hospital Foundation. Mr. Kassabov earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering from HIACE Institute in Sofia, Bulgaria.
