Peter M. Gottsegen is the Founder & Managing Partner of CAI.
Peter Gottsegen, based in New York, was a founding partner of CAI in 1989. He was previously a General Partner of Salomon Brothers Inc., in charge of the firm's International Investment Banking division. In that capacity, he was responsible for all of Salomon Brothers'
corporate finance activities outside the U.S. Prior to joining Salomon Brothers in 1974, Mr. Gottsegen was a Vice President in the corporate finance department of Kuhn, Loeb & Co.
Mr. Gottsegen is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations Inc., Vice Chairman of the Milbank Memorial Fund, a Trustee of the Institute for International Education and a Director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He is a former Director of Aster-Cephac SA, IVAX Corporation, MIST Inc., NBS Technologies Inc. Inc., Sunquest Vacations Limited, Zalev Metals Inc. and Zenith Laboratories, Inc. He currently serves as Chairman of Shred-Tech Corporation and is a Director of Country Style Food Services Inc. and DynaPlas Ltd.
Mr. Gottsegen received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from Georgetown University.
