Rachel Major, CEO and Co-founder, is an avid tinkerer and writer and has worked in geochemical and metallurgical engineering labs as well as a content editor at the world’s leading biomimetic consultancy. Rachel has degrees in biology and chemistry with a focus in environmental chemistry from Drexel University and has studied physics and material
science for fun and entertainment. She has a certificate in management from Stanford University. She brought the idea of bridging clean-tech and biomimicry to NASA Ames, and from there created a biotech makerspace for environmentalists and an eventual startup. She also has a part-time job in wine sales at Ridge Vineyards, giving her a unique outlook in the hospitality and alcohol industry.
