V. Ramachandran (Ram) comes with over 30 years of experience in Human Resources (HR) at both strategic and operational levels. His experience includes Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture and Pesticides, Consumer Non-durables, High Technology, BPO, Banking and Airline sectors in Indian and Multinational Companies. (MNCs).
Ram started his
career specializing in Compensation & Benefits, primarily for Indian companies such as BHEL, Associated Capsules Group, Golden Tobacco and the Coromandel Indag Group before he garnered generalist and functional expertise in other aspects of HR. He has worked for MNCs like Texas Instruments, Motorola, The Murugappa Group, Air Mauritius, AT&T and SITA in India, Singapore, and London.
Ram is a contributing author to “India: Employment Manual” a book published by The Asia Law and Practice Ltd, Hong Kong; He is a frequent speaker at conventions and conferences. He was the Program Director of a series of programs run by the various Management Associations in India as well as The Employers Federation of India. Ram is currently the HR advisor to one of the most prestigious and leading business schools in the country.
Ram holds a post-graduate degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and Bachelor in Science (Mathematics & Statistics) from Madras University. He’s also undergone an executive program on International Human Resources Management from INSEAD Singapore.
