Richard E. Thornburgh is Chairman of Credit Suisse Holdings (USA), Inc. and Vice Chairman of the Board and a Director of Credit Suisse Group A.G. Mr. Thornburgh has held key positions throughout his career with Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), the investment banking arm of Credit Suisse Group A.G., including Executive Vice Chairman of CSFB from

2004 through 2005. He has also held key positions with Credit Suisse Group A.G., including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Group A.G. Mr. Thornburgh is also the lead Director of NewStar Financial, Inc. Mr. Thornburgh was previously Vice Chairman of Corsair Capital LLC, a private equity firm focused on investing in the global financial services industry, and continues to serve as a member of Corsair’s investment committee. He was previously a Director of Reynolds American Inc., National City Corporation and Dollar General Corporation. Mr. Thornburgh served as Chairman of the Securities Industry Association in 2004 and later joined its International Advisory Council, which provides guidance on World Trade Organization negotiations, United States-European Union market trends and other issues affecting international capital markets. In addition, he serves on the University of Cincinnati Investment Committee and is a Trustee of St. Xavier High School, Cincinnati, Ohio and chairs its Finance Committee.
