Richard N. Merkin, M.D. is the Founder of Heritage Medical Systems and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Merkin founded Heritage Provider Network, Inc. in 1996, and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of HealthCare Partners, IPA and President of Regal Medical Group, Inc.
Merkin is the Founder of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony. Merkin serves on the Boards of over 25 private healthcare organizations and is a consultant to local and national government healthcare committees. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC. He is on the Board of The Center for Accelerating Medical Solutions, United Friends of the Children, and is the Chairman of the California Legislatures Blue Ribbon Commission on Health Care Integrity. He has lectured in the United States and abroad. Merkin graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine following his undergraduate major in Mathematics.
