Often referred to as the “father of Enterprise VoIP,” Richard has earned many patents. His career includes successes as the Director of Engineering at Intecom (a digital PBX company) and as the Co-founder, Vice President and CTO at Selsius Systems, which was acquired by Cisco in 1998.
After the Cisco acquisition, Richard grew Selsius into a
multi-billion dollar business unit where, as Vice-President/Development for the Cisco Systems Enterprise Voice Division, he oversaw approximately 600 development and test engineers.
Richard later incubated and became the GM for a new startup within Cisco that focused on small businesses. Upon his departure in 2007, the small business division was already doing more than $200M in annual sales.
Richard founded vSpatial in April of 2016 where he currently functions as CEO.
