Featured in the Wall Street Journal and NY Times, Material World became an online designer fashion trade-in destination for 600+ brands, working with top retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s on a new shopping currency (a reloadable fashion trade-in debit card powered by Discover Networks). The company raised $20M+ in venture funding and was acquired in 2021 by Mixi, Inc, a public tech company based in Tokyo.
