Robert Bowser is a distinguished Professor of Neurology and Neurobiology at the Barrow Neurological Institute and investigates the causes and potential treatments for ALS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other neuromuscular disorders.
As an accomplished scientist, Robert Bowser has been awarded numerous federal grants, U.S.
patents, lectured extensively around the world and has published many important publications in neurodegenerative diseases.
Robert Bowser completed his undergraduate degree at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 1987 and his graduate degree at Yale University in 1992. His post-graduate work was done from 1992-1994 at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Robert Bowser also holds a certificate in entrepreneurship form the University of Pittsburgh.
Robert Bowser was a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for 17 years prior to his recruitment in 2011 to the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Robert Bowser is a founder of Knopp Biosciences, LLC and Iron Horse Diagnostics, Inc.
