Robert “Bob” Brearton currently serves as Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of American Fidelity Assurance Company (AFA) and Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of American Fidelity Corporation.
He has served as an officer of American Fidelity companies since 2000 and has primary responsibility
for overseeing the financial and investment management of all company operations. Additionally, Bob serves on several boards including First Fidelity Bank, N.A., ASC Holding LLC, and Insurica.
Prior to joining AFA, Brearton served as chief operating officer of AFLAC NY and International Controller/VP Finance-Japan for AFLAC Inc. He also served as Principle UK Executive for CUNA Mutual Life Insurance Company. During his 39 year career in “Big 4” public and private accounting and finance, he has been an active committee member of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), the American Chamber of Commerce, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma and Virginia Society of CPA’s and Financial Executives International.
Bob is also a member of the Men’s Dinner club and Economic Club of Oklahoma.
