Rob has built successful high-tech businesses in mobile software, consumer products, predictive analytics and data science. As Medio's CEO, he built the company's strength in mobile and big data analytics space leading to the company's successful acquisition by Nokia.
Rob joined Medio from Universal Electronics (NASDAQ: UEIC)
where he served as President and COO. During his tenure, the company reversed declining sales, fortified its technology, quadrupled its patent portfolio and developed an array of new products. As a result, revenue grew rapidly, earnings more than tripled, and the market capitalization grew from ~$100 million to ~$500 million.
Rob was also on the initial team that built the Windows Networking business at Microsoft where he served in a number of management roles. He was responsible for shipping multiple versions of Windows NT Server and building the Windows networking business from zero to over $500 million in sales.
Rob also holds seven patents in the digital media and wireless control space. He speaks German, Spanish, and English. Rob holds a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound and a MBA from Harvard Business School
