Dr. Day retired as President of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in mid-1997 after serving as President for 16 years during which time the Center grew from 300 to more than 2,000 staff members.
He currently is a member of the National Cancer Policy Board (National Academy of Sciences/Institute of Medicine). He is Chairman and CEO
of ORCA BioSciences and serves on a number of Boards of Directors.
He attended Harvard College and holds an M.D. from the University of Chicago and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
