Rod Owen is a practicing radiologist at Scottsdale Medical Imaging (SMIL), an affiliate of Southwest Diagnostic Imaging (SDI), an Arizona-based Radiology Partners’ practice. He serves as the department chair of radiology, the president and board chair at SMIL, and co-executive vice-president of SDI. In addition, Owen also serves as the operations
and finance chair at Innovation Care Partners, a physician-lead Clinical Integration Network and Accountable Care Organization, an affiliate of HonorHealth. His previous systems roles include chair of the Quality Resources Management committee and medical director of radiology for the Scottsdale Healthcare system. He is also a founding member and former vice chairman of Strategic Radiology.
Owen is a fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR), a prior president of the Arizona chapter of the ACR and a past member of the ACR’s Council Steering Committee. He earned his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University and his M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Owen’s radiology training was completed at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
