Ron understands computers from the electron to the user experience. He was most recently an executive at a 50-employee Inc. 500 mobile development company. There, he started and grew the Android team, developed mobile web services, and provided data integration between apps & enterprise on all major operating systems. Previously, Ron spent 6
years with the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, where he built telescope instrumentation, curated a large data archive, provided observatory-wide analytics, and led the web development group.
Ron holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, with minors in VLSI microchip design and Mathematics, and a masters in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. He is active in the tech community as the organizer of the local barcamp, and in open source as a committer to the tools Private Practice uses.
