Ron Nordin is a leading entrepreneur and investor in internet and software technology companies. Currently, in addition to Carbon Black, he serves on the boards of Midway Studios and CMG. Nordin was a senior partner at Atlas Venture, where he invested in a number of early stage software and Internet companies, including eRoom Technologies.
eRoom
was acquired by Documentum in 2002 in one of the largest private software transactions of the year. Prior to Atlas, he was president and CEO of SQA Inc, a venture-backed, enterprise software company. He led SQA from a start up to become a dominant player in the software QA market and a successful IPO in 1995. Under his leadership, SQA became a highly valued public company.
Earlier in his career Nordin was senior vice president of Cognos, serving on the executive team that developed the company from a startup, through an IPO in 1986 to become one of the top 20 global software companies.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo.
