Ryan Mclinko was a Spacecraft Engineer and Lead of the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Teams at Planet Labs, where he drove the design of the production spacecraft. Planet has built a fleet of 150 cubesats that re-images the entire surface of Earth every day. Ryan was a Systems Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation, where he
developed flight control systems for the Dream Chaser flight and engineering test article vehicles. Ryan also held engineering roles at SpaceX and United Launch Alliance. Ryan attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering. His Master’s thesis was titled “Structural Design of Low Cost, Rapid Development Satellites.”
