Doug's experience spans over 30 years, during which he has held senior leadership and management positions with Quorum Health Group, of which he was co-founder; President of HCA Management Company; Associate Administrative Director, Duke University Hospital; and Southwestern Regional Manager, Humana, Inc. He has held the position of Adjunct
Professor in Owen Graduate School of Management, Lipscomb University and Vanderbilt University. Doug, a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, has written and published numerous articles, monographs and book chapters and is an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige Excellence Award. He currently serves on the board of Abilene Christian University and also serves as chairman on the boards of Passport Health Communications, Inc. and the Zoe Foundation. He is co-founder and principal in Evergreen Investments and Management. Doug is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, Duke University and received his Doctor of Philosophy of Administration/Health Services Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
