Dr. S. Raghunath is a Professor of Corporate Strategy and Policy. He is currently the Dean (Admin) at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. He has played many roles, including being the Chairperson of the IIMB Corporate Strategy and Policy area; the Chairperson of the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning; and the Chairperson of
the IIMB International Student Exchange at different times over the past two decades at IIM Bangalore.
His current portfolio includes teaching strategy, strategic alliances, e-business strategies and models in the post graduate programs and the readings course on strategic networks in the doctoral programme. He has coached many top senior managers of Indian as well as multinational companies. For 24 years he has been offering professional services to companies such as General Electric, General Motors, IBM, Essar, HP, Metro Cash & Carry, Satyam, Wipro, SAIL, Tata Steel, Volvo and Ashok Leyland. He is a registered consultant with the Office of Projects Services, UNDP and New York.
Dr. Raghunath was a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University from 1990 to 1991 where he researched ‘strategy making’ in high-tech companies which included Cypress Semiconductors Inc., Harris Semiconductors Inc. Intel, Motorola, MIPS and National Semiconductor Corp. He serves as an independent director on the board of many corporations and academic institutions.
