Salman is involved with Fostrum, which is a startup that aims to revolutionize banking and financing for digital small to medium businesses. He is very passionate about finance and technology especially how technology will shape finance all over the globe. He is eager to build the next generation digital financial products. Salman has business,
product management and engineering experience working with tech companies and startups.
Salman used to work as an Associate Analyst at Broadridge, where he developed new analytics and dashboard products for Broadridge's Wealth Management Divison. He was part of the Digital Information Onboarding team (Inform), team which won the Digital Innovator of the Year 2018 Award. Salman also helped to develop leading solutions, reducing times for settlement of securities in collaboration with major US & Canadian banks as well as DTCC.
Salman worked with two startups he founded previously, Wearatile & Foodian. Wearatile brings awareness about social issues that empowers NGOs and local communities through designing scarves. Foodian was a startup that connected on-campus university students with affordable food options, similar to Foodora or DoorDash forming partnerships with major restaurants in Vancouver.
Salman also brings software development experience in building self driving car software based on deep learning algorithms through Udacity’s Self Driving Nanodegree Program, developing web application that was federally funded by the Government of Canada for BC Children's Hospital, and developing MVP for GoPlanGo, a budding startup in 2014 that connected people with locally sourced events from around the city.
