Sam Weiss has been Chairman of Altium Limited for nearly ten years. Over that time the Company has increased its market capitalisation nearly ten fold to more than one billion A$ today and is the market leader in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industry led by the success of its flagship software product for the design of printed circuit
boards, Altium Designer. Altium Ltd is listed on the ASX and is in the ASX 200.
In recent years Altium has expanded its product range into both the high and the entry level end of EDA software and through its Octopart subsidiary is a world leader in search for electronic components.
Sam has worked at Board level in Australia, Asia, Europe, and the United States and is highly regarded as a Chairman and Non Executive Director who can create shareholder value through superior strategy, capital and financial controls, premium brand building, people management and strong corporate governance with specific skills and background in software and technology, online products and services and global markets.
Sam is Chairman of 3PLearning Ltd, the maker of the Mathletics, and SurfStitch Limited, the global E-Commerce company for surf and action sports products.
Sam did his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and received a graduate degree from Columbia University in Business Administration.
