FleetRisk was sold to Qualcomm, Inc. in early 2011 and is currently integrated with the Fleet Management organization of Qualcomm Enterprise Services. Mr. Wilkes early career was spent with IBM Corporation. He joined IBM as a systems engineer and spent twelve years in various sales, marketing and systems positions. Much of his early career was spent providing advisory services to large insurance and financial services organizations. Since IBM, Mr. Wilkes has been either founder or co-founder of six software and services companies. His entrepreneurial background began in the early days of insurance agency automation. Mr. Wilkes was the first general manager of Agency Management Systems (AMS), an early pioneer in automating independent insurance agencies. After AMS, Mr. Wilkes was co-founder of Leader Systems, Inc. which was the first agency automation system based on the IBM personal computer. After Leader Systems, Mr. Wilkes co-founded FormMaker Software, which grew to become the leading provider of document automation systems and services to the worldwide insurance industry. FormMaker was later merged with Image Sciences Corporation to form DocuCorp International. The merged companies were taken public in 1998. Mr. Wilkes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Masters of Business Administration in InternationalMarketing, both from the University of Florida.
