Professor Sanjay Krishna is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and co-founder of SK Infrared. Professor Krishna is a world leading researcher and innovator in the field of narrow bandgap semiconductors applied to infrared imaging sensors and related technologies. He has more than 13 years of experience in the design, growth, fabrication and testing
of infrared detectors and focal plane arrays. He is currently the George R. Smith Chair in Engineering and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University College of Engineering. Prior to this, he was the Microelectronics Endowed Chair and Regents Professor at the University of New Mexico where he was also the Director of the Center for High Technology Materials. Professor Krishna received his Masters in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras in 1996. He received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1999 and PhD in Applied Physics in 2001 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
His present research interests include growth, fabrication and characterization of self-assembled quantum dots and type_II InAs/InGaSb based strain layer superlattices for mid infrared detectors, and a research focus on antimony-based compound semiconductors.
