Sankar Jayaram is the co-founder, President, and CEO of VOKE. An expert in the field of Virtual Reality and 3-D visualization, Jay has been very successful delivering powerful visionary ideas of virtual reality applications and monetization to media, manufacturing, prototyping, smart homes, and augmented reality.
For more than 20 years, Jay has
brought to market highly innovative solutions and products combining virtual reality, immersive environments, powerful user controllable media experiences, and social networks.
Prior to creating VOKE, Jay served 22 years as a professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering and an affiliate professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University.
In 1994, he founded the virtual reality lab at WSU with a focus on creating cutting edge solutions in engineering, training and simulation. The seminal work done by his team in virtual assembly and virtual prototyping in the 90s continues to be widely referenced by groups around the world.
A Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), he was recognized by Mashable as one of the top five VR innovators at CES 2016 and was honored as one of the Top 15 “Idea Innovators” by Sports Business Journal.
