Sasha is the CTO & Co-Founder at Kasisto, creators of KAI Banking, the leading conversational AI platform for the finance industry. Kasisto counts DBS Bank, JP Morgan, Mastercard, Standard Chartered, TD Bank, and Wells Fargo among its customers as well as other leading financial institutions who are changing the face of banking with KAI to
create engaging consumer experiences and drive business results. As CTO, Sasha drove the architectural direction and software development of the KAI platform since it spun out from SRI International. He leads the design and development of integrating KAI’s industry-agnostic, full stack AI technologies – Speech Recognition, Natural Language Processing, AI Reasoning, Natural Language Generation – with prepackaged banking knowledge. He created an API-centric architecture that is optimized for performance, scalability, security and compliance. He also leads the design of KAI’s combination hypothesis approach which enables the platform to take advantage of the latest AI technologies as they become available. Sasha has spent his entire career passionately teaching computers to communicate with humans. As a Software Leader and Engineer, Sasha has over 15 years of experience inventing and transitioning breakthrough technology into applications and products. Before founding Kasisto, he was a member of the IBM TJ Watson research team responsible for real-time translation technology and conversational architecture for cars and mobile devices. Sasha’s passion for conversational systems started at The MITRE corporation, soon after he joined his first startup Speechworks Intl. He has a B.A. from Brandeis University and M.A. from Columbia University.
