For two decades Scott has led the creation of creator communities for gamers, which began in 2002 with ModDB.com, and remains one of the largest and most respected mod destinations visited by over 4 million gamers a month. In 2014 Scott joined Linden Lab creators of Second Life, following the acquisition of Desura a PC digital distribution
marketplace Scott founded 5 years earlier. In 2017 with the strong belief that enabling creativity and empowering users through UGC will become pivotal to driving long-term success for game studios, Scott co-founded mod.io, to bring UGC to more platforms beyond PC where it has shined. Scott can often be found speaking at gaming conferences or advising studios on the topic of UGC and how to maximise the positive impact.
