Scott is a renowned expert and pioneer in the areas of cloud, virtualization and shared computing security.Scott’s career parallels Michael’s career in which he commenced his technical contributions at an early age in several notable endeavors which included the position Chief Network Manager for the White House, where he built and ran the network
management system for entire White House.
He then contributed to the development the first commercial intrusion detection device for the Wheelgroup Corporation. This product would revolutionize the industry resulting in the Wheelgroup being acquired by Cisco and becoming a basis for their security offerings. Scott proceeded to contribute to Cisco resulting in several US patents.
He then went on to co-found Plesk, which was successfully acquired by SW Soft (now Parallels), a company in which he is a significant shareholder of today.Scott subsequently co-founded The Prometheus Group along with its subdivisions GotRoot Labs, and Atomicorp. GotRoot and Atomicorp are noted for numerous first technology developments in the field.
Scott has provided consulting expertise to numerous US government agencies and commercial entities in the field of network security and is considered to be one of the worlds leading experts in this area.Scott is the co-author of "Troubleshooting Linux Firewalls" with Atomicorp's CEO, Michael Shinn.
