Borba was born in Visalia, California, to Evelyn Ann Borba and Anthony Robert Borba Sr. He attended high school and junior college in Visalia, where he was the youngest of five siblings. Borba struggled with cystic acne, rosacea, and weight issues as a child. Borba worked as a Ford Model throughout college and appeared in Calvin Klein and Versace
runway fashion shows. He graduated from the University of Santa Clara with a B.S. in Psychology.
