The management team is led by Chief Executive Officer Sean J. Hart who founded the Company in 2012 after spending 12 years at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) developing the core technologies underlying LumaCyte's products. As the original inventor of this technology, Dr. Hart is extremely well-suited to bring this product to market. Dr.
Hart has 50+ peer reviewed journal articles, numerous invited and contributed presentations, 4 patents issued / 4 pending, and has managed large research teams with multi-million dollar budgets. Dr. Hart has extensive experience in a diverse range of research areas including spectroscopy, laser trapping and separation, optical engineering, chromatography, chemical and biochemical separation, statistical data analysis/calibration and artificial intelligence. He received his PhD in Chemistry at Tufts University in 1998. He has significant experience with taking new technology from the lab bench to prototype and field applications.
