BS California Polytechnic, MS and Ph.D. MIT Over 24 years experience in both building start-up businesses (+$100M exit and IPO) and large mature enterprises: Teradyne’s HD Optics startup (founder and tech lead), Helicos BioSciences (Head of Engineering), GnuBIO (EVP of Product Development, and VP/General Manager after acquisition by Bio-Rad).
A hard-driving hands-on leader with broad technical, operational, market and business knowledge, and the flexibility to traverse from strategic to tactical requirements. 40+ issued and actively pending patents in semiconductor automation, fiber optics, optical systems, fluids handling, microfluidics, molecular biology, and sequencing.
