Mr. Sergey A. Abramov is Chairman of the Advisory Board at Baring Vostok Capital Partners Limited. He joined the firm in June 2004 and develops relationships with government bodies on all levels in the Russian Federation and business development for the firm. He was also a Partner at the firm.
From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Abramov was the First Deputy
Head of the Main Office for Internal Policy of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
He also worked at the Literaturnaya Gazeta, Smena, and Pravda newspapers as a Journalist. In the beginning of the 1990s, Mr. Abramov delivered professional services in corporate governance and investment policy at a number of large banking and investment structures in Russia. In the second half of the 1980s, he went into business and was actively involved in the book publishing, mass media, and trade industries.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Moscow State Automobile and Road Institute (MADI).
