Mr. Serjan D. Nikolic, Ph.D. has been Vice President of Therapy Development at CHF Technologies, Inc. since September 23, 2013. Mr. Nikolic focuses on the clinical implementation of CHF Technologies' existing surgical and future transcatheter product lines for less-invasive ventricular enhancement known as the 'LIVE' procedure.
Additionally, he spearheads development of regulatory strategy for a forthcoming submission to the United States (US) Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He co-founded CardioKinetix, Inc. and also served as its Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Nikolic serves as Managing Director of Houston, TX and. He has more than 10 years experience in the medical device industry and 35 years in the academic medical research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Stanford University. He served as Vice President of medical affairs for Neovasys. His industry positions include management positions at Neovasys, CardioSynopsys, Advance Closure Systems and Somnus (Acquired by Gyrus). He is a member of several professional societies including Fellow of American College of Cardiology. Mr. Nikolic is extensively published in cardiovascular field with more than 150 original research papers and publications. He is also a named inventor on numerous US patents. He served as a Director of CardioKinetix, Inc. Mr. Nikolic holds both a doctorate and a master's degree in cardiovascular physiology and biophysics from the Yeshiva University Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in biomedical engineering and a bachelor's degree in physics both from the University of Belgrade.
