Simón Villa has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from City, University of London. He started his career in research and soon transitioned to innovation, tech transfer, and intellectual property management. He built a tech transfer office and innovation department in the EIA University in Colombia and founded a Patent and Technology incubator in
alliance with the development bank of Latin America in the same university. Then, after participating in multiple projects and events as an expert international consultant throughout Latin America Simon started his entrepreneurship way. He is co-founder of multiple companies: The Colombian Lifestyle Medicine Asociation - AMESVIDA, Conexión Inncremental (a KPO with a focus on Innovation and IP management), Lambda Devices (a Medical devices startup), Ideati.co (A software development company), HABI7S (a lifestyle medicine virtual school and clinic), and Kutai (a venture-backed Ai powered nutritional management platform) where he currently acts as CEO of the company. Simon was recognized during the Covid-19 pandemic for participating in the unprecedented agile development of mechanical ventilators for critically ill patients in less than 3 months.
