Sofia Dickens is a mom to three kids and the founder and Chief Creative Officer of EQtainment. Her mission is to make learning social and emotional skills fun and accessible by creating videos, games and books kids love. Sofia first became interested in the impact of emotional intelligence as a student at Harvard. Then she embarked on a career in
educational media as a video correspondent for the Emmy Award–winning quiz show, Jeopardy!, and anchored the nation’s largest youth news source, Channel One News, seen by eight million teens daily in homerooms across America. She also covered politics, news, red-carpet entertainment and sports as a host of Tru TV’s Hollywood Heat. Now she’s empowering parents and educators and pioneering a new pillar of children’s education with EQtainment. Sofia lives in Austin with her husband Reed and their family.
