Sonja Horner began her career in consumer based marketing for Raycom Media in 1999. She was able to recognize emerging markets and trends across the broadcast group that harnessed viewer’s interests and generated non-traditional revenue for the broadcast group. One of the trends that surfaced in early 2008 was the privatization of healthcare. In
2009, Sonja began consulting cardiologists and primary care physicians on membership based medical practice.
In 2011 she co-founded n1Health, a national company that specialized in actively funding membership based medical practices. Her experience in operationalizing retail medicine business models and working with physicians to design medical services that deliver improved outcomes, led her to the employer space.
In 2015, she Co-Founded LeadHealth a company that operates work-site clinics that are uniquely designed to address employee symptoms at the source, resulting in fewer medications and improved well-being. Lead Health sold to Empowered Education.
In 2015, she also co-founded Living Matrix a decision support tool used to digitize the paper intake process (timeline and matrix) of functional medicine physicians. Living Matrix was sold to Nestle Health Sciences. In 2021, Sonja also served as an advisor and on the founding team of Ciba Health a company specializing in the reversal of Type 2 Diabetes.
In 2022, Sonja expanded her work to include developing and productizing chronic disease bundles for AndHealth. She worked as a consultant and early-stage team member for two years.
