Stan Fry is recognized as a pioneer and expert in optical character recognition and imaging scanning technology whose contributions have helped shape the development, conceptualization, design, and creation of dozens of hardware and software imaging products.
Currently, Mr. Fry serves as Chairman of numerous company boards and his own companies
hold nearly 1,400 patents in various technologies. In 1996, he co-founded Flashpoint Technology, Inc. and has been its Chief Executive Officer since 1999. He is the Founder of PictureWorks Technology, Image Software, Pixami, Collision Communications, Concert Technology, Scenera Research and RetroReflective. He served previously as a Director for Research and Development of Wang Laboratories until 1995. In addition, Mr. Fry has held multiple patents and developed the first commercially available scanner.
