Steve is the architect and lead developer of Ivytalk; an enterprise grade, multi-channel, group messaging platform. His expertise includes system architecture and design, large-scale, n-tier distributed systems, and general communications and network applications using standard and custom protocols.
Previously Mr. Knox was the founder of IS
Squared, a software and systems consulting company serving customers including Sony, AT&T, Motorola, and Eli Lilly. In the early 90’s he also founded Driftwood Systems, a company developing mobile communications software.
Steve is a Past Chairman and 10-year board member of the American Electronics Association (AeA) Washington Council Executive Committee. Steve also served two terms as a member of the AeA national board of directors. AeA (recently re-branded as Tech America) was the largest high-tech trade association in the U.S. Steve holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and currently serves on the Washington State University EE/CS Executive Advisory Committee.
