Steve first met his Co-Founder and SpeechVive inventor Jessica Huber when he was Managing Director of the Alfred Mann Institute at Purdue University (AMIPurdue). AMIPurdue began working with Jessica to develop her idea of a speech aid for people with Parkinson’s disease. Steve was enamored with Jessica’s vision to help people with Parkinson’s stay
socially engaged with family and friends. Eighteen months into the project, Steve and Jessica licensed the technology from Purdue University and formed SpeechVive, Inc. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, specifically in sales, marketing, operations, and M&A.
Before AMIPurdue, Steve was VP of Sales & Marketing at Enpath Medical which sold to Greatbatch Medical for $102M in June 2007. Steve began his career with over 11 years at Smiths Medical and MedSource Technologies.
