Steven O. Salley DEng(CEO) s one of the inventors of the technology. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Wayne State University for over 30 years and has taught and conducted research in the area of biochemical engineering, chemical reactor design and reaction kinetics for much of that time. He has published
and presented over 100 research papers. He is also a co-director in the Wayne State University National Biofuels Energy Lab (WSU NBEL) which was created to establish the scientific basis for expanded use of biodiesel and contributed to the development of the ASTM B20 standard.
