Sunwoo is an entrepreneur, wannabe celebrity chef and extreme snowboard junkie.
Sunwoo has spent most of his technology career in enterprise software, mostly with companies that were doing fintech before it was called "fintech." He was early stage EIR and co-founder of Northstar, a SaaS wealth management solution, backed by Goldman
Sachs and Merrill Lynch, later sold to SEI Investments.
Sunwoo was also Director of Business Development at GlobalCommerce, a B2B marketplace (fintech version of Ariba), where he led strategic partnerships with financial institutions such as Total System Services and GE Capital.
Sunwoo started his career with management consultancy, A.T. Kearney based in London, Seoul and Chicago with Samsung Electronics and EDS as clients.
Sunwoo grew up in Eugene, Oregon, holds double black belts in Judo and Taekwondo and is a graduate of Northwestern University where he worked nine jobs to put himself through school.
