Tasso Roumeliotis is Founder & CEO of Location Labs, mobile location and device management technology pioneer, acquired in 2014 by online security company AVG. Prior to establishing Location Labs in 2002, Tasso was a Vice President at Claridge, a $3 billion fund with wireless and media assets. He also worked at Bain & Company, where he was
the highest-ranked associate in his class. And in 2011 and 2012, Tasso was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Tasso holds an MBA from Harvard University. He also holds a BSc and BComm from McGill University with Joint Honors in Economics and Finance, ranking first in his class and graduating with Great Distinction.
Tasso has spoken at CTIA, SxSWi, DEMO, Sprint Open Solutions, Gigaom Mobilize, VentureBeat MobileBeat, the annual FOSI (Family Online Safety Institute) conference, and others, as an expert on mobile safety and security issues relative to data privacy, social networks and device addiction, and product innovation.
