Thiago Cesar is the co-founder of Transfero Swiss AG. He is a pioneer in the crypto industry with more than 7 years of experience as an entrepreneur and a researcher. With prior experience as Business Manager at the Automotive Divison of Daewoo International, he focused on Trade Finance operations between Brazil, China and South Korea from 2011 to
2013. In 2015 Thiago co-founded Bit.One, launching one of the first Bitcoin enabled payment gateways in Brazil and also the first Brazilian Bitcoin debit card in 2016. In 2017 the company expanded to Switzerland to become Transfero Swiss, one of the main crypto-asset management firms with presences in Brazil, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Malta and the Bahamas. He also made a mark in education, having been one of the first to defend an academic thesis about bitcoin and performing solid research at the Institute of Economic Affairs focusing on the macro economic aspects of bitcoin and the blockchain. Connected to the academia and the traditional financial industry alike, he is a frequent speaker at top class institutions and events such as Oxford University, George Washington University, Eurofinance and the Brazilian Central Bank. Holds a master in Economics and International Management, having attended the University of London.
