Prior to founding Mill Road Capital, Mr. Lynch was the founder and Senior Managing Director of Lazard Capital Partners. Prior to Lazard, Mr. Lynch was a Managing Director at The Blackstone Group, where he was the first investment professional hired to work exclusively in the private equity group. Prior to Blackstone, he was a Consultant and Project
Manager for the Monitor Company, a management consulting firm founded by Michael Porter. Mr. Lynch began his career as an advertising executive at the Interpublic Group of Companies.
Mr. Lynch is the Chairman of the Board of Rubio's Restaurants, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of Vision7 International Ulc (formerly known as Cossette Inc.) and Panera Bread Co. (Nasdaq: PNRA). He has also served on numerous private and not-for-profit boards. He earned a B.A. (with honors) in Political Economy and Philosophy from Williams College, an M.Phil in Politics from Oxford University (graduating first in his class), and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
