Tim Ramdeen is the Advisor at Neural Labs. Tim previously worked at Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Sixth Borough Capital Management. He attended NYU Stern School of Business and Temple University.
Prior to founding Sixth Borough Capital, Tim Ramdeen was the fifth hire at Altium Capital Management – a healthcare-focused investment firm –
where he served as the sole analyst on the private capital markets/special situations desk (privately-negotiated financings, direct investments, event-driven long/short, and private to public investments in small and mid-cap healthcare companies). During his tenure at Altium, Tim was instrumental in co-creating the firm’s SPAC investment effort, sourcing, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and executing complex multi-million-dollar transactions in private and public companies, and establishing extensive relationships with hundreds of private and publicly traded companies, sell-side constituents (investment bankers and equity research analysts), and buy-side counterparts (investment analysts and portfolio managers).
Prior to Altium, Tim worked as the sole investment analyst at Brio Capital Management – a NY-based event-driven/special situations hedge fund focused on small-cap equities – where he invested as a generalist (Healthcare and TMT) focus. In addition to spearheading all investments on behalf of the firm, Tim assumed increasing degrees of responsibility and oversight including (but not limited to): general fund/business operations, investor relations, capital raising/business development, and compliance. Tim began his buy-side career on the M&A team at Focus Financial Partners, a holding company, and also spent time in growth equity/private equity investing – minority and traditional buyout opportunities – at a NY-based private investment firm.
Tim holds both a BS in Biology from Temple University (initially accepted as part of an accelerated medical school program) and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
