T.J. Edwards earned a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University in 2006. After graduating he started working full time designing spacecraft mechanisms while also working on designing and building the Datamaran.
He served as director of thermal vacuum testing for a spacecraft mechanisms company and was responsible for
maintaining the system, writing software to automate testing, designing hardware, and upgrading instrumentation and capabilities. He has been designing mechanical systems and testing robotic boats at AMS since 2006.
