Tom Corker is responsible for product management and business development at Cyan.
Tom is a veteran of three successful communications systems start-ups. Tom co-founded Calix in 1999 and held the position of vice president and general manager of access products. Tom was responsible for guiding all aspects of Calix product development, product
marketing, and product line management during his tenure. Calix is now a publicly traded company.
Prior to Calix, Tom was vice president of product marketing at Cerent Corporation, an industry leader in high-speed optical transport that was purchased by Cisco for $7 billion in 1999. Prior to Cerent, Tom was director of product marketing at Advanced Fibre Communications (AFC). During his tenure, AFC went from start up to a publicly traded enterprise. Tom also has held development roles working on next-generation access products at DSC, acquired by Alcatel in 1998, and at Nortel Networks. Tom holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
