Tom got his first email address with an '@' in it in the 70's, got into Infosec in the 80's, eCommerce in the 90's, and venture-backed Internet companies at the turn of the century.
Tom has been a technology partner at KPMG, an international security lead partner at Deloitte, chief eCommerce strategist for IBM,
founder/ceo of Command Information (leading IPv6 company), and security lead for Internet projects at MCC-- the R&D group where much of our eCommerce technology originated (secure web (WinWeb, MacWeb), directory/search (EI/Net Galaxy), and certificate authorities (EI/Net) ).
Tom has been both a successful intrapenuer (starting the global managed services business at KPMG), and entrepreneur (backed by The Carlyle Group and other leading VCs)-- always focused on combining a vision for what technology can do for us next, with operational skills and a practical way to get there.
Tom is the author of Mapping Security, a leading source book on corporate risk around the world, published by Addison-Wesley.
In April of 2008, Tom moved back to LA to help companies succeed in the digital media space, leveraging his security, commerce, and executive experience to help great technology and people reach their potential.
