Chairman of Sub-One Technology. Tony Amor, has been active in renewable energy for over 30 years. He has extensive experience in early-stage and growth companies, and has held board and senior executive positions in a number of public, privately held and professional organizations.
After graduating from Cambridge, Tony worked for Shell
International in Europe, Australia and Venezuela. He then, while earning an MBA at Harvard, worked for the energy economics group at Arthur D. Little, before joining Natomas, an international energy and transportation company based in California. Here he became President of Thermal Power, a highly successful geothermal and renewable energy company, and a senior officer of Natomas Energy's oil, gas and coal interests.
For the last 25 years, Tony has started, invested privately in or run companies in the energy, water and environmental technology sectors. More recently, from 2003 to 2005, he was CEO of ITI Energy, a company established with $250m of public funding to invest in research, development and commercialization of new energy technologies.
He was also, until 2007, a member of the Energy Research Partnership, Gordon Brown's initiative to give strategic direction to energy innovation in the UK. Tony is currently a Partner of Pulsar Energy Capital LLP, a private equity firm that invests in the energy sector.
