Ty Abernethy is the Chief Operations Officer at Take the Interview. He is an entrepreneur and former executive recruiter. Prior to Take the Interview, Ty worked for Chase Professionals, a staffing agency comprised of 25 offices specializing in industrial staffing.
Ty was in charge of rebranding the entire company and launching an executive
search division with specialties in finance/accounting, IT, and engineering. In 2011, the executive search division totaled over half of the $50M in total revenue the company generated.
During this time Ty also started his own business, ZuzuHire.com, which provided video interviewing solutions to small and midsize businesses. He handled all marketing, product design, customer service, and business development initiatives for the company and sold it in 2011 to a UK-based company.
In 2009, Ty started a Job Prep course at Atlanta Union Mission, providing resume writing services and interview coaching for homeless workers displaced during the recession.
