Vyas Ramanan joined Third Rock Ventures in 2016 to focus on new company formation and due diligence.
Prior to joining Third Rock, Vyas obtained his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at MIT (as a Hertz and NSF Fellow). He also co-founded Agile Devices, a medical device company, and served as part of a team working in vaccine delivery for the
developing world as a grantee of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Vyas received his M.S. and B.S. in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and received a B.S. from the Wharton School.
Vyas enjoys making bad puns, one of which got him booed during his thesis defense (and others of which have been delivered on stage in a gecko suit).
