Warren C. Woo is the Founder and Managing Member of Breakaway Capital Management Holdings (BCMH).
Through BCMH, Warren is the Chief Investment Officer for the Cherng Family Trust (CFT), the family office of Andrew and Peggy Cherng, the founders, Co-Chairman/CEO and 100% owners of the Panda Restaurant Group. CFT seeks to co-invest in
proprietary, direct and aligned alternative investments, including private equity, private debt, real estate, growth equity and venture capital.
BCMH is also the Founder and Managing General Partner of Breakaway Capital Partners Fund and Breakaway Capital Partners Fund II, private investment funds with $150 million of committed capital under management that provide unitranche financing solutions to leading lower middle market companies.
Warren was a Founding Partner and Managing Director of Moelis & Company. Prior to Moelis, he was at UBS Investment Bank where he was Vice Chairman, a member of the Board of Directors, Global Management Committee and U.S. Executive Committee as well as the Global Head of Financial Sponsors, Hedge Funds and Leverage Finance. Prior to UBS, Warren was a Managing Director and Head of West Coast Leverage Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and a Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Warren received his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business with a concentration in finance and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Warren is an owner of the Nashville Predators, a National Hockey League franchise. He is currently on the Advisory Board of FCL Partners, a real estate co-living platform focused on student housing and limited service hospitality and the Advisory Board of Park Lane, a sports-focused investment bank.
